Whites hold unfair advantage over blacks in South Africa

The history of South Africa has been discussed to death by politicians, philosophers and analysts in South Africa and around the world and therefore needs no introduction to South Africans, but just how much impact it had to our lives today needs to be looked at. I dare to say that after 18 years of democracy, the minority still dominates in every aspect in this country, and I dare to say that in South Africa white people still enjoy an unfair advantage over their black fellow countrymen and women. I am talking about in the workplace, schools, Universities and everywhere else in this country. White South Africans enjoy a great deal of wealth that was acquired under the apartheid regime. Have anyone ever wondered why the rate of unemployment is so low among the white communities? Why do they dominate in schools and Universities? Why are they driving expensive cars at such a young age? Well I have and the answers are all there to see.
Their Advantage in the workplace
South African private enterprises are still very much at the hands of the minority, not because they worked for these enterprises but because they inherited them from their parents who built them under the apartheid regime. Unequal opportunities back then meant that white citizens were bound to accumulate more wealth than the black citizens; it is therefore fair to say that these enterprises are at their hands by virtue of inheritance (They never worked for it) and that amounts to an unfair advantage over other citizens. Because these enterprises are white owned, white citizens get first preferences when it comes to job opportunities, and when a black person does score a job, they are bound to be in a completely different pay scale from that of their white colleagues.
White employees also tend to climb the ladder much quicker than black employees, not because they are more superior but because they are favoured by management. It is also more common that white employees hold managerial positions that sometimes should be held by black or coloured employees that are more deserving. I am by no means implying that all whites’ benefited from this advantage; there are those who worked tirelessly hard to earn their wealth and therefore deserve to be applauded. It is however important that everyone be given equal opportunities to perform to the best of their abilities.
Universities
It is a known fact that white students have much more resources compared to the black students; If you are reading this from a computer lab, please look around and count how many white students are there, not many hey?, where did they go to? Why are they not there?, well they are sitting in the study room at the comfort of their homes, they have everything there, they don’t need to be at the library or computer lab, what must they do there when they have all of that at their homes?. Just follow them after class when they go to the parking area and see what cars do they drive and how many of them are going to be asking for a lift; I promise you very few of them are not driving, and in fact those who are not driving will wait for their Parents to come and fetch them. They are always early for classes and have everything organised and printed notes and neatly bound them. You would swear that they are smarter, no they are not; they are just enjoying what they forefathers forcefully took away from the black men.
While the white students are sitting in classroom waiting for the class to start, the poor black student is probably sitting in a train or running around trying to catch a taxi to school. While white students are browsing through their assignments in class, the poor black student is standing in a queue at the library attempting to print their assignments, while white students are sitting at their study rooms doing their assignments with a cup of coffee next to them, the poor black student is standing in a lab waiting for somebody to leave so that they can gain access to computers, while white students are busy binding their work at home, the poor black student is standing at a binding shop waiting for their work to be bound, and we still wonder why in most cases white students have an edge to black students.
White citizens are by no means superior to the black citizens, they just have a psychological edge and plenty resources at their disposal. What a black men dreams of, is simply one of the basic requirements of a white men’s normal life. Blacks are worried about where are they going to get jobs after graduation, while whites already know that they will be placed in a managerial position at their uncle’s, father, mother in law’s company somewhere along the coast.
Communist system might not be entirely a bad idea after all!
That as it may..................I am proud to be black.......the struggle continues.

Blackberry is not an ordinary phone!

There seems to be a fast growing criticism for blackberry; strange enough, most of this criticism comes from people who either do not have a blackberry or never used one at all in their entire lives. If you have used a blackberry before, and you felt you needed something better, fair enough atleast you have been there and done that, but maybe you should have considered upgrading to a more advanced Blackberry. I find it very strange that those who never owned Blackberries have so much to say about them. How can one determine which phone is better between an iphone and a blackberry when owning none of them?, No doubt, an iphone is much more technologically advanced and cost much more money to buy and to use than a Blackberry. I managed to source the following comparison from an unknown author:

How well do they operate?

Many people love the operating system of the BlackBerry, it does what it’s supposed to do, and users seem to find all of the tricks in which to get all of the usability out of it.
The operating system of the iPhone is said to be the most technologically advanced, out of any other mobile operating system in the world.
As far as general usage goes regarding battery life, the Blackberry seems to last a little bit longer than that of the iPhone. You can probably expect to get the same usage out of the bold battery, as that of any other BlackBerry.
The call quality of each phone seems to be very good; the iPhone might get the slightest edge as sounding a bit more natural than the Bold.

What about email?

On the iPhone reading email may be second to none, however, everything else even related to email is better on the BlackBerry. Using the keyboard on the BlackBerry makes working with email fast and easy. You might say that email on the BlackBerry is almost perfect.

How are these phones for business use?

The BlackBerry can handle anything that you would normally do from Outlook on your Exchange server, and it is a perfect desktop extension. The BlackBerry is said to be the most secure device in the world for business use.
The iPhone needs more testing with its security, the device deployment tools need some work, which leaves the iPhone with more to prove in the business world.

Which phone is better overall?

Really neither phone is that much better than the other. The Bold is the best BlackBerry up until now, and it is great for business use. The iPhone is a consumer device, and most of the original problems have already been addressed. It all comes down to what you like and what you really want in a phone. Each phone is great in its own right, so the battle really comes down to you, the consumer.

Does anyone know that Chicken Licken advert that says "If you dont like it, its because you never tasted it"? Its the same thing with the blackberry, if you hate it,its because you never owned it.

A blackberry is not like any other phone, its not an ordinary phone, its a smart phone that is very much easy to use, before you get that iphone, i suggest you start with the blackberry because its easy to use, its affordable and its very convinient.

I have crazy love for my blackberry........and please stop hating.

Zahara a Maid?? Impossible!!!!!!!!!

As repored by the Sunday world newspaper on the 15th of April 2012, Bulelwa Mkhutukana fondly known as Zahara is being heavily iltreated by her Management team. The newspaper reported that many promises were made to Zahara's familiy but none were fulfilled, such promises include but not limited to buying two cars  and a house for Zahara and a farm for her parents. It is further revealed that Zahara lives at the Nciza's place and is made to perform house chores for them, when she could easily afford to buy a house of her own.

Zahara's sisters who leaked the story to the paper claim that they do not even think Zahara has a bank account of her own as her management team is in control of her finances. They further argue that Zahara does not even have a copy of her contract with TS records and subsequently does not know what her contract entails. Zahara and the TS records refused to give their side of the story according to the Sunday World.

In my opinion, the story may not be entirely true but it is impossible to be completely untrue, it is however impossible that Zahara is treated like a maid and that she does not have a bank account of her own. I hope it is also not true that she doesnt have a copy of her contract as that may prove to be disastrous.

It however defeats me to hear that this music sensation doesnt have a place of her own. Whatever the arrangement was between her, DJ Sbu and TK, it is entirey unfair that she is still living under someone else's roof. There can never be any satsfactory explanation of why this woman doesnt have a house. The rest of the allegations to me seem too good to be true but the house part is a very serious matter.

Zahara her self is adamant that she is taken a very good care of by her management team, "The paper can write whatever they want but I know I have been a great kid in my family and TS too has been good to me and my family" she tweeted< "If they want to turn my family against me they must just go ahead but remember God is watching you" she said on twitter.

No matter what the real truth is here, it is realy disturbing to read such stories especially about a person that the whole of South Africa has grown to love so much. I personally do not believe that the story is true, but as they say, "where there is smoke there is fire", But I mainatain, Zahara is not Maid........Period.

Whats your take on this???????

Your Boyfriend is definately cheating if the following signs are present

Dear ladies

The worst thing you can do to your relationship is to accuse your boyfriend of cheating when he is infact not cheating. This will only upset him because he will feel that you don't trust him at all, and he will start not trusting you as well. It is however normal for ladies to feel neglected because they like being loved. Before you can even try to accuse him of cheating, look for the following signs first:

  • He is unavailable at times when he normally should be
  • He stops asking for your opinion and advice
  • Makes plans without consulting you
  • Spends less time with you
  • Goes out with the 'boys' more than he used to
  • Does not want you to use his cell phone
  • Deletes history of calls on his cell phone
  • Changes the way he dresses
  • Starts asking about how faithful you are
  • The phone rings and he does not answer it
So the above signs are all present, what now? Please do not confront him, you are only making things worse because you cannot prove that a person is cheating based on your personal emotions. Look for valid proof that you can use against him, do not make it too obvious that you are suspicious because he will get alerted and start changing his ways and cover his tricks. Do not steal numbers from his phone and start phoning people, he will be angry and the relationship may go beyond repairs. Remember, guys consider cheating as "cool", everyman is ok with cheating, so you will need to be clever to catch him. The most important and useful source to catch him is his cellphone, all the information is there, but just how you get hold of it is a different story alltogether.

Make it you business to arrive home safely!

All roads lead to different holiday destinations this weekend. Some will be using this weekend to worship the lord, they will be praising him for all the sacrifices he made for al of in the cross. In the same breath, some will be using this weekend as a drinking spree, something that contributes immensely to road accidents particularly this season every year.

It therefore becomes our collective responsibility to ensure that we all arrive to our different destinations in one piece and unhurt. If you will be travelling long distances with public transport, please make it your business to ensure that you arrive safely. Ask the drive to prove to you that the vehicle is in good condition to travel long distances, demand to know that his Driver's license is valid and that he has a PDP.

PRivate drivers please be patient in the roads, give each other some respect and abide by the rules of the raod at all times. You are going home to spend time with your family, they are waiting for you, they are counting days to be graced by your presence, they cannot wait to see you, do you want to take that away from them?,I don't  think so, so please do your self a favour, drive safely and don't  drink while driving, for your sake and that of your loved ones.

Have a safe and fruitful Easter weekend

Till next time.....Sibo.
